Gina Ambrosio

Gina graduated in Physics at University La Sapienza of Rome in 2015. She was enrolled in a joint PhD in Science between KU Leuven in Belgium and Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Brescia in Italy, and she obtained the PhD in Physics in 2020.

Currently, she is working as a postdoctoral researcher at the National Institute of Optics (CNR-INO) in Brescia.

Skilled in working with Photoluminescence, Photoemission and Raman Spectroscopy, Scanning Tunneling Microscopy and Synchrotron radiation.

She joined a project focused on the study of the optical properties of InP Nanowires during her Master degree and she worked on the functionalization of graphene using diazonium salts during her PhD project.

Currently, she is working for the Project HUB-SPATIALS3 – Miglioramento delle produzioni agroalimentari e tecnologie innovative per un’alimentazione più sana, sicura e sostenibile, financed by Lombardia Region and she is involed in the other research activities of the PRISM group.
