Carlo Pennacchio

After the scientific high school diploma, he obtained the BSc in physics engineering at the Politecnico di Milano and the MSc in industrial automation engineering at the University of Brescia. During the master he had an internship in Emerson Automation and made an experimental thesis work in the field of control engineering in close collaboration with Idra which is a globally recognized die casting machines manufacturer company.

After some work experiences as mechatronics engineer and PLC programmer, he is now a research fellow at CNR – INO. His work is about developing Matlab scripts for the analysis of large amount of data collected from MOS gas sensors and using machine learning algorithms and other techniques for data classification. He also helps in designing the setup of experiments involving the analysis of odors emitted from plants and sensed by MOS gas sensors.
