Giulia Zambotti obtained the bachelor degree in animal production techniques and food safety in 2009 at the Veterinary Department of the University of Parma. In 2011 she obtained the master degree (with honours) in food control and safety at the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Reggio Emilia. In 2017 she received the PhD degree in Information Engineering at the University of Brescia. Subsequently from 2017 to 2021 she became a post-doctoral researcher at CNR-INO. Moreover she has an association with the University of Brescia and collaborates with the Department of Molecular and Translational Medicine (DMMT).
During these years spent in research, she has been working with sensor applications (electronic nose) going through different working area such as food, medical, environmental and safety. She worked both to the development of sensors and their applications, with emphasis in the fields of microbiology and medicine.
She has participated to the FP7 European project SNOOPY (Sniffer for concealed people discovery) and to three regional projects (Empatia@Lecco “EMpowerment del PAzienTe in cAsa,”, “Future Home for Future Communities, FHfFC”,Susbiorem ).
Currently (2020/2022) she is post-doc within the regional project SPATIALS3 ”Miglioramento delle produzioni agroalimentari e tecnologie innovative per un’alimentazione più sana, sicura e sostenibile”, funded by Regione Lombardia.
